Continental ContiSportContact 5 SUV is a summer tyre built for powerful SUVs and crossovers, continuing the line of the well-known ContiSportContact 3. A reinforced carcass and breaker construction copes with the extra weight and load of a large vehicle without giving up speed capability, while optimised shoulder blocks keep the contact patch wide and even, so steering stays precise and the car holds the road securely even through fast corners. The Black Chili compound shortens braking distances, lowers rolling resistance and fuel consumption and extends tread life. Selected sizes are made with ContiSilent: a polyurethane foam layer on the inner surface of the tyre absorbs rolling noise heard in the cabin by up to 9 dB(A).

The EU Tyre Label provides standardized information about fuel efficiency, wet grip, and external rolling noise of tyres.
- Fuel efficiency – rated A (best) to E (worst). Better rated tyres reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.
- Wet grip – rated A (best) to E (worst). Better wet grip means shorter braking distance on wet roads.
- Noise level – external rolling noise in decibels (dB). Class A is quietest, C is loudest.
