WinterContact TS850 P SUV
Continental WinterContact TS 850 P SUV is the SUV and 4x4 version of Continental's high-performance winter tyre. Its S-GRIP tread layout combines many blocks with longitudinal sipes that gather snow in the grooves and turn it into friction, giving stronger traction and shorter braking distances on snow. The PrecisionPlus siping concept sets the inner-shoulder sipes at steeper angles and closer together, adding lateral grip edges and sharpening steering on snow. On dry roads PowerSipes stiffen the outer tread blocks and a shorter sidewall builds up lateral forces quickly for precise cornering, while the interlocking ActiveBand in the tread centre keeps the blocks from tipping under braking and shortens stopping distances in the wet and dry.

The EU Tyre Label provides standardized information about fuel efficiency, wet grip, and external rolling noise of tyres.
- Fuel efficiency – rated A (best) to E (worst). Better rated tyres reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.
- Wet grip – rated A (best) to E (worst). Better wet grip means shorter braking distance on wet roads.
- Noise level – external rolling noise in decibels (dB). Class A is quietest, C is loudest.
