Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2 R is a DOT-legal track tyre optimised for dry circuit use, introduced in 2018 to bridge the gap between racetrack specialisation and road legality. Originally fitted to hypersport cars including Porsche GT, Ferrari, AMG, Koenigsegg, and Corvette as OE for ultimate dry-track performance.

- Fuel efficiency – rated A (best) to E (worst). Better rated tyres reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions.
- Wet grip – rated A (best) to E (worst). Better wet grip means shorter braking distance on wet roads.
- Noise level – external rolling noise in decibels (dB). Class A is quietest, C is loudest.
